aesthetics are important, but this...

Okay, I know I was complaining mostly about the aesthetics of my new iPod (i.e. it's Tin Man silver, dented, scratched, and quite ugly) but I've found a clear-cut techie problem that needs addressing. So we're taking it back to Best Buy.
It won't show up in iTunes. I've had iTunes running for, oh, fifteen minutes now and it's STILL not here! (My OLD iPod used to take all of thirty seconds, if less.) But it did work yesterday--I had the chance to name it I DON'T WANT THIS and then I brought it downstairs and made the proclamation that this was extremely and irreversibly unfair.
Then both my mom and brother pointed out that there are starving orphans in Africa who would give anything for food, let alone an iPod.
So we're taking it back, and not even because it's not working. It stopped working after I called my dad to deem it worthless and take-back-and-argue-with-the-customer-service-guy worthy. It's not of good quality and it's DENTED for God's sake. It was also pointed out last night that I'm the clear-cut version of an Americanized, spoiled brat and the previous sentence is a clear-cut example of that. I don't care. Maybe I am a little spoiled-brat-ish.
So when I'm back from Best Buy and hopefully with either a working iPod or a receipt for a working, on-its-way iPod, I'll feel better. And if I throw a fit in the store, I'm apologizing now for my rash behavior.
Ugh. I'm venting to you because everyone here has already told me I'm spoiled and bratty. *sigh*
