The title can actually refer to one of two things: the *never-ending* writer's strike (thank GOD America's Next Top Model is a reality TV show!) or a strike in bowling. Today was actually affected by both--pretty cool coinkinkydink, heh?
First, of course, was the cancellation of the Golden Globes--replacing them with a totally demure, boring televised press conference. Not that I'd ever watch the Golden Globes, but it's the principal of the thing. Second was my friend's lil cousin's birthday party, which was a bowling party. The four-year-olds at the lane next to ours did better than me.
Also in the news: Christina Aguilera (spelling?!?) had her baby, a boy: Max Liron Bratman. Unlike Nicole Richie's baby name, poor Christina named her kid something horrible. Max. I wouldn't even name a dog Max. But that's kind of mean, and Christina Aguilera isn't so bad. So, I'll be nice. I think it would be so cute if Nicole Richie and Christina's kids become friends. Max Liron and Harlow...whatever. They're only a day apart!
I managed to squeeze in more shopping today and am sitting here in the comfiest sweats in the world (from Old Navy), simultaneously typing and watching the remake of The Twilight Zone on our mini DVD player becuase I can't figure out how to hook it up to the TV. Well, this is the girl who couldn't figure out how to plug the TV into the wall. *blushes innocently* We went to, let's see: Old Navy, Ulta, Barnes and Noble, the Hobby Shop, and Starbucks-within-Barnes-and-Noble (yummy hot cocoa!). In just one hour. Speed-shopping much??
