Two books. Two amazing books by Jerry Spinelli. Stargirl and Love, Stargirl. I'm not a totally unintelligant person, but these books really really opened my eyes. Not exactly because they are political or about any one cause, like AIDS or something. But because they are written so poignantly and, I don't know, they're just really really great books about life and nonconformity (that's a word used in a review of it--I had to look it up) and nature, too. I was so happy when I found the sequel in Barnes and Noble, I almost started jumping up and down. I love these books. They are on my top ten list of all-time awesome books that everyone should read, but that's a list for another day. That's a list that could span over weeks, because I have so much rhyme and reason behind each book that, well, it would be much longer than just one post. Anyway, I'm loving Stargirl and the sequel!
