Oh, my God, have I got a story to tell you!!
First of all--Broadway is amazing.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Second of all, I'm in love with Broadway.
Oh, my God.
Balcony seats--first row balcony seats!!!--me and my friend Ashley, we were next to each other. And it was so cool. As soon as the prologue began, our eyes were riveted to the stage. Even though some of the actors were understudies (when we saw the little white slips in our playbills indicating the understudies, we both groaned) the play was amazing. Amazing. Amazing. There was one moment when everyone turned around in their seats and whispered to each other, "How did they do that?" There was another surprise when the Phantom of the Opera showed up in this really cool location. Every effect was magnified; everything was perfect. The actors were so stunning, and so were the sets. I think the best was the chandelier, though. It was so important to the play, and it was so cool. Well, if you haven't seen the play I don't want to give anything away, but I can definitely recommend it.
Then, after the play, Ashley decides that the shirt she bought during intermission was too small and she needed a new one. So she paid me five bucks to get her a different size, which was five bucks well earned.
So we're on the bus home when, somehow, one of the sideview mirrors falls off. And apparently you aren't supposed to drive without those mirrors (please, like they're so important), so we had to go back to the bus place and get a new bus.
We got home at 7:15. We were supposed to get home at 6:00.
Either way, I loved it. And I love Broadway. And I think Ashley and I are gonna go see Rent this summer since its final performance is September something.
