my favorite parts of writing a story

  • The beginning, when everything is so fresh and new and pretty, like a waterfall. Anything can happen and anything will happen because it's my story and I can do what I want with it.
  • Whenever I start a new page. It's like a clean slate.
  • When you get to the middle and you look back and go, "Whoa, did I seriously write all that already?"
  • The part right before the end, when you can feel that it's almost done and it's sad but also kind of refreshing that you're almost done.
  • Whenenver I have to rewrite a part a bazillion times--when I get the final product it just makes that part ten times more satisfying to read.
  • Whenever a conflict is solved--btw, I hate the way that sounds, but whenever there's a problem and you've been building it up and it's finally like, "God! I'm so glad that part is over!" when you can tie it up and don't have to worry about making everything fit together anymore.
  • Being in my room, writing, with my "Faves" playlist on, I am so happy. That's one of the easiest ways to make myself happy, is to write.
  • Writing the goofy fun parts where best friends and shopping trips are involved! :-)
  • Editing it and seeing how off-base I was!
  • Trying to keep all the plot lines a secret from my friends and family until it's finally done.
