perserverance...how icky.

So, yesterday I informed you of the wonderful, fantabulous, gorgeous weather we here in New Jersey have been blessed with.
It's still chugging along, wonderfully perseverant as ever (and I don't even think that's a word but who really cares? It is now), and oh my God we spent a whole day on a boat today and the only respite was the bottom deck, on a bench/storage area stuffed to the brim with childrens' and adults' life jackets. Thank God we didn't need them. The air conditioning inside, as nice as it was, hardly provided a respite from the brutal, brutal heat. So we were chilling (literally haha) on the bottom deck, where there was a Marilyn Monroe-worthy breeze. It was nice. I'm sick of the heat already and--what a shocker--we're not even halfway through June.
Shoot. Me. Now. If this is a propecy of what summer will be, I almost want to press fast-forward and speed past summer to August 20th, which is when we leave for our annual vacation. After that vacation, there's a week left before school, the perfect amount of time to stress over the quintessential back-to-school outfit, finding the right shoes, deciding whether to wear a headband or not...oh, right, and see who's in my classes.
