splash fights and, yup, baseball

Today was an awesome day. =]

First we went for a long walk with Grandpa in the morning at 9. It's actually really nice to wake up early and go walking along the water. There's this paved path in the next town over that goes along the bay, so it's like really nice to walk along. There were so many missed photographic ops: my camera is working (wooohoo!) but it's, um, dead. Then we caught breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. Yumm. I have to say, I totally love Dunkin Donuts. Their donuts are really good. Yummyyy. Haha.

And then I was writing for a while--actually, reading my story over--before Mar came over to hang out. We were gonna go to the pool club, but it was raining and we didn't want to have to, like, get caught in the rain. And then me, Mar, and Pat went swimming for a while at the neighbor's pool, playing Sharks and Minnows. And some other games. Before we went back home because...actually, I don't know why. Oh, because Pat can't swim two hours before a baseball game.

So then Pat and I had a little fight over some chocolate and smores, nothing out of the ordinary.

Aiight, baseball. It was the game-before-the-championship-game, whatever that means, so we actually had to watch. Mom's extra chair was reserved for Aunt Shell, so Mar and I found a towel and plopped down on it behind the fence to watch. Of course, before long we were watching the little eight-year-olds practice on the field behind us. They're just so ADORABLE. I wanted to take one home, like they were little puppies or something. We were writing stuff in the sand, too, because while the game was interesting for the parents--who were whooping it up like peppy cheerleaders in maroon-and-gray garb--it was kinda boring for us. No offense, Pat. =] It's just, like, I don't know. Boring? So anyhoo, we were getting snacks and stuff from the snack stand. Because, um, the fight Pat and I had resulted in us not having lunch. So we were starving. First we got fries. Bleccchh. Then we got Churros. Ehh. Kinda yummy. And then--the creme de la crop--we got ice cream hahaha. We sound like pigs. I got a chipwich. J'adore chipwich!!!!

So they won the game 7-1 woot woot!! And after, we were all just hanging out at the field because the game after ours was apparently important to them. And they were eating McDonald's. I had to chase Pat around because he was being a butthead and annoying me. Ah, little brothers. I'm so lucky, I have TWO.

Then we're like, "Hey, we should totally go swimming again." So we rounded up the kids from Tuesday--Timmy and Tyler--and headed over to the neighbors' again at like nine. Second time in a day, and the second time in a week with Timmy and Tyler haha. Our neighbors are very, very kind. =] We were having so much fun. First we were playing Sharks and Minnows, then Goofy, and then we gave up and had a major splash fight, boys against girls. I think we won, but I bet they disagree. We could argue for hours. Well, it was seriously fun. I think Pat was just out for revenge for the whole smores/chocolate debacle earlier, but I still had mayjor fun.

So then--of course--they're like, "Let's smash some more lightning bugs." Boys will be boys, right?? Yupp. Except that we already killed all the lightning bugs on Tuesday, so they were just tossing the bats around and being guys. What a surprise. And then they were teasing me about past choices of boyfriends--thanks, seriously--and Mom was arguing whether my Soffes were a mayjor waste of fabric or not, since I just roll them up anyway. And we were doing "shoes" x 10. Mar and I taught them that. It's totes gonna be widespread one day. And we'll be at the root of it. Haha. And more ice pops--sheesh, I can't write a post without mentioning them anymore!--and chasing Patrick down the street because he was spitting at me. Well, did you know I can run faster on concrete barefoot than I can with my expensive running shoes on? Yeah. That's oxymoronic.

That was my funfun day. =] Now I gotta go cuz Mar's sleeping over and she must be bored because she has doodled all over my dry-erase. I think it's gonna be completely covered when she's through with it! LOL. Catch ya tomorrow. xoxo, caiti
